Why people go

Azerbaijan grew very quickly with Indian travellers for a simple set of reasons: a fast, cheap e-Visa, direct flights from Delhi and Mumbai, and prices well below Europe for what still reads as a European city break. Baku's mix of a walled medieval old city and dramatic modern architecture photographs extremely well, which has made it a popular destination-wedding and honeymoon choice. Add snow in the Caucasus within a few hours' drive — a genuine draw for travellers who have never seen it — and Indian restaurants throughout central Baku, and it works as a first trip beyond the Gulf.

Common rejection reasons & how to avoid them

Passport scan the system can't read

This is an officially documented refusal ground. Scan flat, in good light, with the whole page in frame — our document check catches this before submission.

False or incomplete information

Azerbaijan lists this explicitly as grounds for refusal, and the fee isn't refunded. Every field needs to match your passport exactly.

Travelling on a different passport than you applied with

If you hold more than one nationality, the e-visa is tied to the exact document you applied with. Using another one makes it invalid.
