Cherry blossom, bullet trains, and Kyoto's thousand gates.
Japan is one of the cheapest visas an Indian traveller can get — the Embassy of Japan charges Indian nationals a flat ₹500, single or multiple entry. Applications go through VFS rather than directly online, and we prepare the full document set for you.
A few details for Japan are still pending verification against official sources — we'll update this page as soon as they're confirmed.

Why people go
Japan has moved from an aspirational trip to an achievable one for Indian travellers, and the weak yen has done much of that. The appeal is the contrast held in one country — Shibuya Crossing and a Kyoto temple garden a couple of hours apart on the Shinkansen — plus the reliability of everything: trains to the minute, spotless cities, and very low crime. Cherry blossom season in particular has become a bucket-list fixture. Anime and gaming culture drive a distinct younger segment of trips, and direct flights from Delhi, Mumbai, and Bengaluru to Tokyo have shortened the journey considerably.

Common rejection reasons & how to avoid them
Documents older than 3 months
Japan requires supporting documents issued within the last 3 months. An older tax certificate or bank letter will be rejected even if the numbers are fine.
Vague itinerary
Japan asks for a genuine day-by-day plan, not a placeholder. Vague itineraries invite extra scrutiny.
Reapplying too soon after a refusal
Japan bars reapplication for the same purpose for 6 months after a refusal, unless your circumstances have changed significantly. Getting it right first time matters more here than almost anywhere.
Frequently asked questions
Yes. India isn't on Japan's visa-exemption list, so you'll need a short-term stay visa. Indian applicants apply through VFS rather than directly on Japan's eVISA site.
