Qatar's visa rules are the practical draw — Indian passport holders with a valid visa or residence permit from a set of approved countries can obtain a visa waiver on arrival, and there is a straightforward e-Visa route otherwise. That makes it one of the easier Gulf trips to arrange at short notice. Doha is also a heavy transit hub, so a great many Indian travellers turn a long Qatar Airways layover into a two or three-day stop. The 2022 World Cup left behind a genuinely upgraded city — new museums, metro lines, and hotels — and the flight is only three to four hours from most Indian metros.

Common rejection reasons & how to avoid them
Accommodation dates don't cover the full stay
Your booking has to match your flight dates with no gaps. A partial booking is one of the more common causes of refusal.
Missing health insurance
Qatar requires cover from a Ministry of Public Health-registered provider. A generic travel policy may not qualify.
Passport validity under 3 months
Qatar needs at least 3 months' validity from your arrival date — shorter than most, but still checked.
