Hagia Sophia, Cappadocia balloons, and two continents in one city.
Turkey's e-Visa is open to Indian passport holders who already hold a valid US, UK, Ireland, or Schengen visa or residence permit. If you don't have one, there's a consulate route instead — we'll tell you which applies to you before you pay.
A few details for Turkey are still pending verification against official sources — we'll update this page as soon as they're confirmed.

Why people go
Turkey has surged with Indian travellers, and Cappadocia's balloons are the single biggest reason — they have become one of the most photographed experiences in international travel, and they anchor a great many honeymoon and anniversary trips. Istanbul adds a city that genuinely straddles two continents, with Ottoman and Byzantine history layered in one walkable district. Practically, it is a five to six hour flight with strong connectivity through Istanbul, costs are moderate by European standards, and Turkish food travels well for Indian palates — plenty of bread, grilled meat, yoghurt, and spice. It is often positioned as the Europe-adjacent trip without the Schengen process.

Common rejection reasons & how to avoid them
Supporting visa expires before your Turkey entry date
This is the single most common trap. Your US/UK/Ireland/Schengen visa must still be valid on the day you land in Turkey — not just on the day you apply.
Travelling without the original supporting visa
Turkish immigration asks to see the original document at the border. A photocopy or a photo on your phone isn't accepted.
Applying through an unofficial site
Turkey's foreign ministry warns that lookalike e-visa sites overcharge. We submit through the official government channel.
Frequently asked questions
Yes. There's no visa-on-arrival for Indian ordinary passport holders. You'll either use the e-Visa (if you hold a valid US, UK, Ireland, or Schengen visa) or a consulate sticker visa.
